Governor Kathy Hochul renewed requires stronger measures on New York State's hashish regulation throughout a press convention on Wednesday.

Hochul known as out the main social media platforms, accusing them of selling unlawful marijuana retailers in New York. She urged the state legislature to present localities methods to slam the doorways of the business and shut down violators.

It's an issue the state and metropolis have struggled to fight.

The governor requested tech giants like Meta and Google to cease selling unlawful hashish retailers on their platforms.

There have been many calls to motion from the hashish business, as they are saying this hurts authorized operators and takes {dollars} from the state.

Licensed hashish operators joined Hochul through the press convention to rally help for extra protections, together with Alfredo Angueira, co-founder of Con Bud at 85 Delancey Avenue.
