Thirty-one individuals died after a bus fell and crashed off a bridge in Mali on Tuesday.

The bus was en path to neighboring Burkina Faso from the Malian metropolis of Kenieba when it plunged off a bridge crossing the Bagoe River.

Not less than ten others had been injured – some struggling severe accidents.

Native officers mentioned the possible trigger was “the motive force's incapability to manage the automobile.”

The accident occurred round 17:00 native time (17:00 GMT).

“A bus … that was leaving the municipality of Kenieba for Burkina Faso tipped off a bridge. The possible trigger is the motive force who misplaced management of the automobile,” the transport ministry mentioned in an announcement.

He added that the victims included Malians and residents from different areas in West Africa.

Street accidents are frequent in Mali as a result of poor situation of many roads and autos, in addition to overloaded and poorly regulated public transport.

Earlier this month, 15 individuals had been killed and 46 injured after a bus heading to the capital Bamako collided with a truck, in keeping with the AFP information company.
