A narco-submarine was intercepted off the coast of Guyana throughout a joint operation between native and American legislation enforcement brokers.

The US Embassy in Georgetown mentioned the self-propelled semi-submersible (SPSS) was intercepted on March 21 by the crew of the USS Leyte Gulf about 150 kilometers off the coast of Guyana.

The ship was carrying 2,370 kilograms of cocaine.

4 folks have been on board the SPSS and have been arrested by legislation enforcement from the pursuit in the USA.

The embassy hailed the “landmark” seizure as an excellent omen for US cooperation with Guyana within the combat in opposition to drug trafficking.
