Kristin White Eagle, who serves as a member of the Ho-Chunk Nation Tribal Legislature, says it's time for Wisconsin to legalize hashish.
“Throughout the nation, we've seen the advantages of hashish,” he mentioned in a press release. “It's time to maneuver in the direction of ending this ban.”
White Eagle and the remainder of the Ho-Chunk tribal legislature voted to decriminalize hashish on tribal lands, in line with an announcement on April 30.
They reasoned that thousands and thousands of {dollars} in potential income go away Wisconsin every year as residents purchase hashish from surrounding states which have legalized it.
“The Ho-Chunk Nation acknowledges that marijuana and its derivatives are naturally rising crops with medicinal and industrial purposes,” the tribe mentioned in a press release. “Indigenous individuals have used marijuana and hemp for a whole bunch of years for a wide range of functions and the Ho-Chunk Nation acknowledges its useful goal.”
