Forward of the Lok Sabha elections, the Karnataka Electrical energy Regulatory Fee (KERC) on Wednesday, February 28, introduced a primary tariff revision for the yr 2024-25.

For LT home shoppers, energy costs have been diminished by 110 paise per unit for consumption over 100 items. For industrial LT, energy costs have been diminished by 50 paise per unit.
For industrial HT shoppers, the facility tariff has been diminished by 125 paise per unit and for industrial HT, it has been diminished by 50 paise per unit. Demand costs have been diminished by ₹ 10 per KVA.
“After scrutiny of ESCOM's functions, the Fee has authorized the Whole Annual Income Requirement (ARR) of ₹ 64,944.54 crore as towards ₹ 69,474.75 crores sought by ESCOM in its tariff functions,” the Fee mentioned in his order copy.
