Customs officers at Cork, Shannon and Dublin airports have seized nearly 300kg of hashish and a spread of different medicine as a part of an EU-coordinated operation focusing on drug trafficking at European airports from Americas.
The operation culminated in a “week of motion” final December involving various European and UN companies and Interpol.
A complete of 36 nations participated, together with EU member states, South and Central American nations, some West African nations in addition to america and the UK.
