Prairie Island Indian Neighborhood's Peži Island in Pink Wing is the closest tribal marijuana retailer to the Twin Cities to date.
Minnesotans who’ve been patiently ready for the chance to legally buy hashish close to the metro space bought a brand new choice Monday when Island Peži, the Prairie Island Indian Neighborhood's new grownup retail marijuana dispensary, opened formally its doorways to prospects. Positioned throughout the parking zone from Treasure Island Resort & On line casino on the outskirts of Pink Wing, Peži Island (pronounced pay-ZHEE, the Dakota phrase for grass) the shop is about 40 miles from the Twin Cities. The tribe plans to mark the shop's grand opening Saturday with a daylong celebration that includes distributors, meals vans and dwell music.
“We’re very enthusiastic about this opening and I feel it’s a nice alternative for us to display the onerous work and dedication to working a protected and controlled system. [business],” Blake Johnson, a tribal member and president of Prairie Island Hashish Holdings Inc., the Peži Island tribal firm, stated in an interview final week.
The dispensary affords a variety of hashish merchandise, together with flowers supplied by the White Earth Nation tribal-owned Waabigwan Mashkiki cultivation plant, in addition to an assortment of hemp-derived gummies, drinks, topicals and oils from the Minnesota companies.
