Two Navy SEALs who went lacking at sea earlier this month off the coast of Somalia haven’t been discovered and are presumed useless, US navy officers stated.
The SEALs had been reported lacking after a nighttime raid on an Iranian ship on January 11. US officers stated they discovered elements of ballistic missiles and cruise missiles that Iran equipped to Houthi fighters in Yemen.
Throughout the operation, one Navy SEAL fell into the tough waters and a second SEAL adopted the SEAL in an try and rescue him, as NPR beforehand reported.
After a 10-day search of greater than 21,000 sq. kilometers, with help from Spain and Japan, restoration efforts have begun, US Central Command stated in a press release on Sunday.
“We mourn the lack of our two Naval Particular Warfare warriors, and we are going to endlessly honor their sacrifice and instance. Our prayers are with the SEALs' households, mates, the USA Navy and your complete Particular Operations group throughout this time,” he stated. US Military Common Michael “Erik” Kurilla, who heads Central Command.
