LANDIKOTAL: In a joint operation, Customs Intelligence and Frontier Corps (FC)-North arrested a suspect and recovered 115 kg of cannabis on Monday.

Deputy Director of Customs Intelligence, Amanat Khan, mentioned the operation was launched after receiving a tip. He mentioned that the Customs Intelligence has deployed a number of groups to watch the motion of pedestrians alongside hilly paths within the Zakhakhel space.

Through the surveillance, Frontier Intelligence Unit and FC-North recognized 4 suspicious people within the space of ​​Bazaar Zakhakhel Pastoky, all carrying backpacks.Upon confrontation, the suspects tried to flee, abandoning their baggage. Whereas three managed to evade seize within the rugged terrain, one suspect, recognized as Junaid Ahmed from Tirah space of ​​Khyber district, was arrested by Customs and FC personnel.

Subsequent examination of the deserted baggage revealed 99 packages containing 115 kg of high-quality cannabis (charas). A primary data report was filed and investigations launched.
